
1. We will only have a contract with you when you sign a purchase contract which we accept.
2. All products, services and special terms are on the front of this agreement, so we both know what is included as part of the contract.
3. If you 'The Client' or we 'The Company' want to change the contract after it has been signed , (including the contracted price) it will have to be confirmed in writing or by email.
4. The price of the products (including VAT) is the price at the top of the contract (not the estimate).
5. Payment for materials may be asked to be paid for in advance. This payment will go to the supplier (not the company).
6. There is a 14 day cooling off period after the contract has been signed (right to cancel) no product will be fitted in this period , unless stated on the contract.
7. If there is any work outstanding that cannot be finished on the completion date, the balance left outstanding must be a proportionate amount to the work outstanding.
8. Before we 'The Company' install the products , our technical surveyor will survey the installation, this is included in the price. There may be additional costs if there is suspected asbestos.
9. The surveyor will confirm the design, size, technical specifications and safety of the site , this will include all windows, doors and building work on the property. Any VOC (Variation of contract) will apply in unforeseen circumstances - including value.
10. The contract will be cancelled if we cannot install the product safely for any purpose.
11. If we 'The Company' cancel the contract, we will refund any money you have paid to us.
12. We will contact you to arrange a fit date. We will do our best to keep to this date. There may be reasons out of our control which we cannot be held responsible for. We will complete the work as soon as possible.
13. When the installation is taking place, you do not need to be at the property, but you do need to ensure there is access to the property and a power supply. You will also need to be there to pay at the end of the installation.
14. If we cannot install the products on the fit date given , we have 12 weeks to install the products before you have the right to cancel the contract and we will refund you any monies you have paid us.
15. We will be responsible and have a good work practice when installing th e products. If we damage your property during the installation,
16. We guarantee to repair or replace any faulty products or workmanship within the 1O year guarantee (it will be apparent if the damage is not due to us and therefore will not be guaranteed) .
a. PVCu windows and door frames are guaranteed against any failure in welded joint and distortment in accordance with system supplier's recommendations for a period of not longer than 10 years from the above commencement date.
b. Glass sealed units are guaranteed for a period no longer than 5 years after the commencement date above for the failure of hermetical seals (i.e. misting between panes).
c. Locking mechanism , hinges and all metal moving parts are guaranteed for 1 year subject to regular maintenance by customer. Cosmetic deterioration, to handle, letter plates and door handles etc. due to general wear and tear are not covered by this guarantee.
17. The guarantee will no longer apply if:
a. Any one carries out repairs to the products who is not from the company.
b. The products have been damaged by accident or misuse.
c. You did not pay for the product originally.
18. We will pass details of your installation to the appropriate organisations who will certificate legal regulations and guarantees.
19. All the glass we use is the best available, however we cannot guarantee against minor imperfections or variations in the glass making process . We keep to the visual standards
of the Glass and Glazing Federation.
20. Sample windows show, workings/materials and products we use. The products we use for you may have minor and technical changes which are out of our control. We cannot be held responsible for these changes.
21. Any materials (frames) that have been paid before the right to cancel the contract, will be dropped off at the property at 10% of the outstanding total contract balance.
22. If after reading this, you 'The Client' are not sure of your rights and obligations under the contract, you should contact us immediately.
23. We do not tolerate any rude or abusive behaviour to our staff, if this should occur we have the right to cancel the contract and stop any work on site. This includes all methods of communication, calls may be recorded for monitoring purposes
